The Statue of Liberty enlightening the world , exposé de 4 pages en anglais niveau lycée
It was Edouard de Laboulaye who inspired the idea of giving the US a statue representing Liberty and it was Bartholdi and Eiffel who designed and realised it. One of the stones used came from a small village in France: Euville dans la Meuse. In 1870 was built the first model on a small scale which can be seen on the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris.

The smoke and the clouds are mixed up, which emphasizes the Statue's strength, as it can even reach the skies. Its imposing posture conveys an impression of power and protection.
