[...] Belonging to a minority, as well as an economically disadvantaged household is also identified as a major factor, increasing maltreatment risk fivefold. Other findings include the recent rise in number and quality of longitudinal research, which gives greater insights on the several kinds of nefarious consequences child abuse has on development, peer interaction and anti-social behaviour, proportionally to the severity of the received abuse.
